Used Parts Sales Representative

Location: Des Moines, IA

Primary Purpose

Housby is seeking motivated and experienced sales professionals to promote our Used Parts sector. In this role, you will drive new business development while nurturing and expanding existing accounts. Your focus will include building a strong network of industry contacts and effectively showcasing our value-added products and services to both new and current customers.

Expectations

Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conduct outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to promote and sell parts inventory.
• Prepare detailed and accurate call reports in a timely manner.
• Educate customers on the uses and features of various parts, utilizing your knowledge of equipment.
• Respond promptly to customer emails and calls regarding used parts.
• Record sales transactions through invoicing.
• Process parts orders efficiently.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers, both internal and external.
• Utilize parts manuals for research and to accurately identify products.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience with heavy-duty truck parts is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Proven sales experience.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications.
• Strong ability to interpret customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  
  

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
  
  

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous use of hands for manual tasks.
• May involve standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and handling components.
• Capable of viewing a computer monitor for extended periods.
  
  

Work Environment

• Approximately 25-35% travel is required, depending on business needs.
• Work environment varies and may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.
• Potential exposure to hazardous materials like battery acid, gasoline, and cleaning chemicals.
• Noise levels are typically moderate to loud.
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors.
