Plumber

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plumber to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems. Your expertise will ensure that water systems operate efficiently, meet safety standards, and comply with local building codes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a variety of tools and techniques, and contribute to high-quality construction and remodeling efforts.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of drafting and blueprint reading, safety and Local and State plumbing codes and regulations. Knowledge of grades and type of pipe and fittings, use of tools, installation of different piping systems and plumbing fixtures, as well as knowledge of department policies and procedures. Analytical ability to analyze system problems, determine appropriate methods and proper sequence of work as well as tools, materials, and equipment to use based on accepted trade practices and general directives. Knowledge and associated current certifications related to maintaining, installing and repairing plumbing, mechanical and refrigeration related equipment. Requests support from plumbing contractor when needed or necessary through the Maintenance Department.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited high school or its equivalent, trade school or equivalent in plumbing or plumbing trades. Must be able to follow written and oral procedures related to assigned tasks and problems. Provide routine and emergency after hour and on-call coverage including night shift, holiday and weekends per department schedule or as assigned. State of Maine Plumbing License or the ability to obtain preferred. Maintains required certifications related to job description.

Pay: $28.00 - $36.40 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
