Under the direction of the Security Director, and working collaboratively with the hospital staff, the security officer manages the safety and security of the facility. This is a highly visible position that is responsible for the enforcement of Hospital security regulations, as well as monitoring and reporting potential safety hazards and unusual occurrences through patrol of the facility. The ideal candidate will possess and exhibit strong customer service skills. Law Enforcement experience preferred. Valid Maine Driver’s License. Have or be able to attain International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety Basic Security Officer Certification within 180 days of hire and Advanced certification within 18 months of hire. Required to work share of weekends and holiday shifts.
