We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and motivated General Manager to lead our daily restaurant operations while delivering exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for hospitality, team development, operational excellence in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment with a desire to revitalize our Manhattan, Kansas location!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing front-of-house and back-of-house operations, managing staff performance, ensuring high standards of food quality/ service, controlling labor and food costs, handling scheduling and inventory, and maintaining compliance with all health and safety regulations. The General Manager will also be leading the hiring, training, coaching, and development of team members while fostering a positive and professional workplace culture.

Qualified candidates will have previous General Manager experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant, strong leadership and communication skills, and experience managing P&L performance. This position requires flexibility for night, weekend, and holiday availability, as the restaurant opens at 4 PM each day.

Duties

  • Lead all aspects of restaurant management, including staffing, training, and performance development to foster a motivated and skilled team.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food presentation to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction to optimize profitability.
  • Supervise the use of the Silverware POS system for accurate order processing and cash handling.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all areas.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.
  • Monitor shift operations, including scheduling staff shifts, managing labor costs, and ensuring smooth service flow.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience in casual dining environments with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food handling, safety protocols, and culinary practices.
  • Demonstrated ability in staff training & development, team management, and interviewing prospective employees.
  • Background in food production, kitchen management, or hospitality management is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Prior experience in restaurant management roles within hotel or catering settings is a plus. Join us as we strive to deliver exceptional hospitality through dynamic leadership!

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
