Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused HVAC Parts Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting technicians with HVAC parts selection, processing orders, managing inventory, and supporting daily operations in the parts department. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of HVAC systems, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist technicians in identifying and selecting appropriate HVAC parts.

• Process orders accurately and efficiently via phone, email, or in person.

• Maintain organized inventory and ensure parts are stocked, labeled, and stored properly.

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source parts and track backorders.

• Support inventory control through cycle counts and regular stock audits.

• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and offering product recommendations.

• Use parts lookup systems, catalogs, and software tools to locate and verify part information.

• Collaborate with service technicians, warehouse staff, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.

• Maintain a clean and orderly parts counter and storage area.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training in HVAC is a plus.

• 1–3 years of experience in HVAC parts, inventory management, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of HVAC components and terminology.

• Proficiency with inventory software, point-of-sale systems, and Microsoft Office.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with HVAC distribution, wholesale, or service parts.

• Knowledge of major HVAC brands and manufacturer catalogs.

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required.

Qualifications:

1. Education

   • High School Diploma or GED required.

   • Technical training or associate’s degree in HVAC or a related field is a plus.

2. HVAC Knowledge

   • Basic understanding of HVAC systems and components.

   • Familiarity with HVAC parts, brands, and typical applications.

3. Experience

   • 1–3 years of experience in HVAC, parts sales, or inventory/warehouse management.

   • Prior counter sales or customer service experience is preferred.

4. Technical Skills

   • Ability to identify and recommend appropriate HVAC parts based on customer or technician needs.

   • Proficient with part lookup systems and manufacturer catalogs.

5. Computer Proficiency

   • Comfortable using inventory software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

   • Willingness to learn proprietary systems.

6. Communication Skills

   • Strong verbal and written communication.

   • Able to work effectively with customers, vendors, and internal staff.

7. Organizational Skills

   • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

   • Strong follow-through on orders, returns, and special requests.
