Janitorial Position – Houghton County Memorial Airport
Status: Permanent Part-Time
Location: Houghton County Memorial Airport
Houghton County Memorial Airport is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual for a permanent part-time janitorial position. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming terminal environment for travelers, staff, and visitors.
Primary Duties:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, floors, lobbies, and waiting areas.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces (e.g., door handles, counters, seating).
- Empty trash, restock restroom supplies, and maintain cleanliness.
- Clean windows and glass doors for a polished appearance.
- Monitor and replace lighting as needed.
- Track janitorial supply inventory and notify supervisor for restocking.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to the Airport Manager.
Cross-Training:
This position will be cross-trained in Grounds Maintenance to provide support as needed, including tasks such as snow removal, lawn care, and minor outdoor upkeep.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Must pass a background check for access to restricted airport areas.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.62 per hour
