Duties

  • Support the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation standards.
  • Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure high performance and teamwork.
  • Manage inventory control and food safety procedures to minimize waste and ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist with menu planning and development to reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends while maintaining consistency.
  • Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes for large groups.
  • Oversee food handling practices, ensuring proper sanitation and safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Monitor kitchen workflow during busy periods, including shift management and resource allocation to optimize productivity.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in food production and culinary arts.
  • Supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting, demonstrating leadership and team management skills.
  • Extensive banquet experience along with dietary department knowledge to accommodate special dietary needs.
  • Skilled in inventory management, food service management, and catering operations.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards, kitchen management practices, and inventory control systems.
  • Excellent cooking skills with a comprehensive understanding of menu planning and food handling procedures.
  • Previous restaurant experience emphasizing hospitality excellence, serving techniques, and kitchen efficiency.
