Groundskeeper, Maintenance and Animal caretaker
The responsibilities of groundskeeping job include the care, feeding and trimming,of lawns and plants at various locations, removal of trash and maintenance of trash containers, removal of unwanted trees and weeds, snow removal tasks and salt application on sidewalks and approaches during the winter, includes snowblowing.
Associated responsibilities include the ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools and the repair and maintenance of items like lawn mowers, lawn tractors, push mowers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, mower decks, weed trimmers, skid loaders and pickups, shovels, saws, etc.
Additionally you would be trained on the care of small group of animals in a farm like setting, less than 3 acres, on a daily basis. Animals include ducks, chickens, dogs, donkeys, mule, horse and cats. Tasks would include feeding, watering, checking the health of the animals, removal of animal waste and maintenance of bedding materials.
Applicant must be physically fit, able to easily lift 50 pounds, work in diverse weather conditions, and able to safely use ladders and tools without causing injury to himself or others. Applicant must be able to understand instructions and follow assignments, anticipate the needs of upcoming tasks with regard to effort and materials, and set his own priorities with regard to scheduling and need. On the job training will be provided where necessary.
On site efficiency apartment available, and strongly preferred to have employee on site. Must have clean driving record, no record of drugs or alcohol, or criminal history. Great opportunity for a single or couple who enjoy life in the country.
The ability to manage time and think jobs through in advance if an absolute necessity. Previous experience with regard to groundskeeping extremely important.
