Position Summary
Hotline Freight is seeking a safe, reliable, and professional Class A CDL Line Haul Driver to transport freight between terminals and customer locations during overnight hours. The ideal candidate is committed to safety, on-time deliveries, and providing excellent service while maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations.
Class A CDL Linehaul Driver - Hazmat
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
- Transport freight between terminals and designated destinations according to scheduled linehaul routes.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment.
- Ensure freight is properly secured and handled to prevent damage.
- Complete and maintain all required logs, inspection reports, and shipping documentation.
- Adhere to all DOT, FMCSA, company safety policies, and traffic laws.
- Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or delays promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations personnel.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with customers and team members.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Acceptable driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements.
- Current DOT medical card.
- Minimum age of 24 years.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Previous linehaul or LTL experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and safely during overnight hours.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently enter and exit tractor.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
