Platform: Whatnot (Live Shopping) About the RoleWe are looking for a high-energy, charismatic, and knowledgeable Live Stream Host to lead our "Rip Till You Hit" broadcasts on Whatnot. You won’t just be opening packs; you will be the face of our brand, managing the adrenaline of the "chase," and turning casual viewers into loyal buyers.In this role, you will manage dynamic stream games where you open booster packs until a customer "hits" a specific rarity (e.g., Ultra Rare, Secret Rare, Alt Art). You must be able to instantly identify card values, hype up big pulls, and keep the audience engaged for hours at a time.Key Responsibilities1. The "Show" (On-Camera Performance)Host High-Energy Streams: Maintain high enthusiasm and stamina for [4-6 ] hour shifts. Dead air kills retention—you must keep the energy up even during "dry" streaks.Master the Mechanics: Flawlessly execute "Rip Till You Hit" rounds. You must track the pack count, know the "hit" criteria (e.g., Is a Holo a hit? Is a Trainer Gallery a hit?), and ensure the customer feels they got their money's worth.Hype the Hits: When a chase card (e.g., Moonbreon, Charizard SIR) is pulled, your reaction must be electric. You are responsible for creating "clippable" moments that we can use for marketing.2. Sales & Audience RetentionViewer Retention: Actively read and respond to the live chat while ripping packs. Acknowledge regulars, welcome new viewers, and answer questions without slowing down the breaks.Upselling: Encourage viewers to "run it back" (buy again) immediately after a round finishes. Use "heat" (hot streaks) to drive FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out).Run Giveaways: Strategically use Whatnot’s giveaway tool to spike viewer count and keep people watching between sales.3. Card & Market ExpertiseInstant Valuation: You must know the difference between a $5 V-card and a $200 Alt Art instantly. You should know current market trends (e.g., "This is the top chase from Paldea Evolved!").Card Care: Handle high-value cards with extreme care (sleeving and top-loading instantly on camera) to build trust with high-end collectors.Qualifications & SkillsThe "Must-Haves"Deep Pokémon TCG Knowledge: You need to know your sets (Scarlet & Violet, Sword & Shield, Sun & Moon, etc.). You must understand rarity symbols (Double Rare, SIR, Hyper Rare) without looking them up.Live Stream Experience: Familiarity with Whatnot, TikTok Live, or Twitch. You are comfortable speaking to a camera and multitasking.Thick Skin: The chat can be demanding. You must remain professional, positive, and proactive even when dealing with "trolls" or unhappy customers who didn't get the card they wanted.The "Nice-to-Haves"Experience with OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) and stream setups (lighting, mics, scene switching).Knowledge of sports cards or One Piece TCG (for potential expansion).Sales background in a commission-based environment.Ideal Personality TraitsThe "Hype Man/Woman": You are naturally loud, expressive, and fun.Trustworthy: You understand that reputation is everything in the hobby.
