TFE Properties, LLC is recruiting for an On-site Apartment Maintenance Superintendent with prior experience for our Hampshire Crossing location in Lakewood, New Jersey. The candidate must be well organized, self-motivated and adaptable to changing situations. Must be able to perform all types of maintenance duties for our residents. Valid driver license required, basic computer skills a plus. This position does not require applicant to live on-site, however, must live within proximity for emergency service requests. Full-time position that requires weekends and must be flexible with the work week.

Responsibilities Include
- Performing plumbing, electrical, appliance and mechanical maintenance.
- Fulfill work orders in maintaining the exterior and all common areas of the property (Lighting, walkways, fitness centers, storage, parking, landscaping, etc.)
- Prepare units for move-in, including but not limited to, punch-out lists, painting, cleaning, and any other necessary work.
- Must be able to cover after hours and emergency calls.
- Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude to tenants, potential tenants, and vendors.
- Respond to tenant’s requests in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Understand and work within the guidelines of all federal and state laws regarding Fair Housing and multi-family housing, OSHA, Workers Compensation, and Federal Wage and Hour Act.
- This position offers a starting rate that ranges from $23 to $26 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications include:
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic maintenance and repair skills, and including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, appliance and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to use power tools, hand tools and other necessary equipment.
- Ability to work independently and possess willingness to learn.
- Superb customer service and effective oral skills, along with a positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to read, write and speak sufficiently to process and discuss work orders correctly with our Corporate Operations Team.
- Ability to use a mop, broom, vacuum cleaner, step ladder, shovel, snow blower and leaf blower.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8 hours or more per day) to perform the following physical activities: bending, climbing step ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, grasping, gripping, turning, reaching above shoulders, pushing and pulling, climbing stairs, stooping and squat kneel.
- Maintain accurate maintenance files and a well-organized workspace.
Salary : $23 - $26
