What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Person (PM/Swing Shift) position at Hotel Wailea, Relais & Chateaux?
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide assistance to the Chief Engineer and maintenance of any emergency calls and repairs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Is required to perform routine tasks and repairs such as but not limited to; operating and repairing water features, handle general guest room repairs and trouble calls, vehicle/cart maintenance, pool and spa maintenance. Air conditioning, electrical and plumbing repairs as well. Has simple hand tools and maintains them. Responds to emergency alarms. Performs other related work as required. Able to work with little or no direct supervision.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Preventive maintenance of exhaust fan and motor unit, air handling unit, booster heater, trouble calls, set up banquet functions.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Indoors, warehouse type and air-conditioned conditions; outdoors, in all types of weather
Work Hours: Normally 40 hours both day and night shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
EQUIPMENT USE: Golf/Utility cart, other necessary tools.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School & College degree or equivalent required.
Certificates of building maintenance
E.P.A. Refrigeration license (type 2) or universal
Driver’s license
WORK EXPERIENCE (MINIMUM REQUIRED)
Three (3) year work experience on building maintenance or trade school.
SPECIAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB
Welding & soldering.
Electrical trouble shooting.
Electrical wiring.
Refrigeration and air conditioning repair and installing.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Physical Demands: Must be able to stand seven (7) hours and sit (1) hour a day.
Able to lift 50 lb.
Mental Demands: Ability to work under pressure, react quickly to emergency calls. Work under little or no supervision.
