Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems ensuring clarity and attention to detail
- Provide expert recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety
- Manage guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure complete satisfaction
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas according to sanitation standards
- Utilize reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating efficiency
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and ensure quality control
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly in fine dining
- TIPS Certification
- Strong knowledge of POS systems
- Demonstrated ability in upselling, sales techniques, and providing exceptional customer service
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask during busy shifts
- Culinary experience or background in food handling
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Effective communication skills for guest relations and team collaboration
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and accurate billing processes
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
