Position Description
Achieves or exceeds sales goals by providing complete account penetration in designated business market segments. Maximizes profitability and revenue for Hotel Viata through strategic account management and proactive new business development. Establishes new client relationships and maintains existing relationships to maximize revenue. Utilizes a cross-selling mindset to develop opportunities across transient, group, and catering segments for Hotel Viata and the PHG Collection.
Key Responsibilities
• Actively solicit new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship-building with corporate, association, government, consortia, wholesale, and group accounts.
• Research market trends, industry activity, and local business opportunities to identify revenue opportunities aligned with hotel goals.
• Participate in industry organizations, trade shows, community events, sales blitzes, and client presentations to generate new business and strengthen market presence.
• Develop and maintain long-term client relationships through consistent communication, strong service delivery, and strategic account management.
• Analyze business opportunities, review market data, and respond to RFPs including Lanyon submissions and direct proposals.
• Prepare proposals, maintain business travel workbook data, and track client production and account performance.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records in hotel systems and CRM platforms.
• Attend business review meetings, conduct company research, and support direct marketing campaigns and presentations.
• Conduct site visits and familiarization trips to promote Hotel Viata and PHG offerings.
• Participate in training sessions and contribute to department initiatives supporting revenue growth.
• Respond to client inquiries and coordinate special arrangements or requests to ensure a positive client experience.
• Resolve client concerns within scope of authority and escalate issues when appropriate.
