What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front of House Team Member position at Hotel San Buena?
Hotel San Buena is a new boutique hotel located in Downtown Ventura. We are seeking outgoing candidates with positive energy to join our Front Desk team. Morning, day, and night shifts are available. Candidates must have good interpersonal skills and understand that great customer service is an essential part of our hotel's operation. Basic computer and math skills are required. Previous experience in the hotel or customer service industry is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Check guests in and out of the hotel using the reservation system
- Answer phone calls and provide information to guests
- Assist guests with inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring their satisfaction
- Serving lobby bar patrons

- Handle credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role/food and beverage is preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of hospitality management systems is a plus
- Proficiency in multiple languages is an advantage
- Familiarity with night audit procedures is beneficial
- A passion for providing exceptional guest service
- Food Handlers Certificate
