Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards
- Monitor quality control to ensure all areas meet established cleanliness and safety standards
- Schedule staff shifts efficiently to meet occupancy demands while maintaining workload balance
- Conduct inspections of rooms and facilities to verify cleanliness, floor care, and proper maintenance of equipment
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring cost-effective usage
- Address guest requests or complaints promptly and professionally to enhance satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within a hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning methods
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred for understanding guest expectations and service standards
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Familiarity with housekeeping management software or systems is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff and other departments
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
