Hotel Maya in Long Beach is seeking a full-time, Night Auditor to join their Front Office team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Checking Guests in and out; Answering telephone calls, and addressing guest needs/concerns.
- Completing night audit checklist and reports.
- Prepare restaurant audits to break down and balance restaurant figures.
- Reconcile the credit card system to the daily transaction list from rooms.
- Handle all computer end-of-day challenges that might occur throughout the shift.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company.
- Regular attendance in accordance with the standards, which may be established by Hotel Maya from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by the supervisor.
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Knowledge of accounting operations to include all aspects, such as accounts receivables, etc.
- Ability to access and accurately input information into a computer using Excel software and other various software programs.
- Basic mathematical and calculator skills to prepare mathematical calculations without error.
- Office machines: operate calculator/10-key by touch, copier, fax, telephone.
- *Must possess the ability to post and balance large amounts of charges efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision, within the initial training period after employee begins work.
