Hotel General Manager

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional service delivery
• Lead and supervise hospitality teams, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, motivation, and professional growth
• Manage hospitality operations budgets, including forecasting, financial management, and cost control to maximize profitability
• Implement and uphold hotel guest service standards to ensure outstanding guest experiences and high satisfaction ratings
• Utilize property management systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation systems to optimize bookings, room assignments, and revenue management strategies
• Develop and execute strategies for revenue enhancement through effective pricing, marketing initiatives, and guest relations
• Handle managerial communication effectively across departments to ensure clear directives and operational alignment
• Maintain compliance with hotel policies, human resources practices, and safety regulations while managing staffing levels through recruiting, training, and performance evaluations
• Oversee night audit procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation of daily transactions
• Foster strong relationships with guests by addressing inquiries promptly via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette

Experience

• Proven supervisory experience within the hospitality industry or hotel management environment
• Extensive knowledge of hotel management operations including front desk procedures, guest services, and property management systems (PMS)
• Demonstrated ability to manage hospitality teams effectively while promoting a customer-centric culture
• Strong background in financial operations such as budgeting, revenue management, and controlling expenses
• Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to enhance communication with diverse guests and staff
• Experience with human resources functions including hiring, training, performance management, and employee relations
• Familiarity with hospitality reservation systems and multi-line phone systems is preferred
• Leadership qualities that inspire teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences while achieving operational goals

Pay: $36,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
