Duties
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and handle chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) to ensure effective cleaning while maintaining safety protocols.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or linens to support housekeeping operations efficiently.
- Restock supplies in guest areas and service carts to ensure availability of essentials for housekeeping staff.
- Support hotel housekeeping management by coordinating with team members to ensure timely room turnovers and public area maintenance.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines to uphold a secure environment for guests and staff.
Experience
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards.
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners.
- Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and safety protocols related to cleaning agents.
- Strong customer service skills with an energetic attitude toward guest satisfaction.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently.
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance is advantageous.
