Basic Responsibilities Include
- Work closely with the Innkeeper on daily projects and achieving high standards.
- Responsible for supervising housekeeping staff, preparing daily tasks list, assigning duties, and providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Assist housekeepers with room assignments and tasks as needed.
- Clean guest rooms as needed.
- Work on deep cleaning projects.
- Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies, coordinating or ordering replacements and equipment repair.
- Respond to guest requests, inquiries, and issues and manage lost and found.
- Coordinate and/or facilitate housekeeping staff training on standard operating procedures, safety policies, and health/sanitation regulations.
- Inspect premises, public areas, and/or guest rooms, ensuring compliance to company procedures and health/sanitation standards.
- Work to achieve high standards in cleaning and inspecting guest rooms.
- Work closely with maintenance department on daily tasks.
- Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English.
- Experience is preferred.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
