About the Role:

The Lodgekeeper at Postcard Cabins Eastern Catskills, Catskilll, NY  plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the lodge facilities. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for guests, managing daily operations, and overseeing the upkeep of the cabins and surrounding areas. The Lodgekeeper will also handle guest inquiries and concerns, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The Lodgekeeper will be managing all laundry, folding treating and organizing daily used linen. Additionally, this role involves coordinating with maintenance staff and managing inventory for supplies and amenities. Ultimately, the Lodgekeeper is essential in providing a memorable experience for all visitors while maintaining the integrity and functionality of the lodge. Shifts are generally evening hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Proven experience in hospitality or property management.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.


• Knowledge of local attractions and activities to assist guests.


• Basic understanding of maintenance and repair tasks.


• Knowledge in all things laundry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the lodge, including guest check-in and check-out processes.


• Maintaining all things laundry, folding treating and organizing linens.


• Treating daily laundry and insuring all linens are folded and clean before shift end.


• Making Linen bags for the next day.


• Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of cabins and common areas, ensuring they meet quality standards.


• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.


• Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping staff to ensure all facilities are well-maintained and stocked.


• Maintain accurate records of bookings, inventory, and maintenance requests.

The pay for this position is $18 an hour
