Role Description

The Controller - The Publisher Fredericksburg VA will oversee financial operations and reporting for the hotel, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines and legal requirements. Core responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing budgets, reconciling accounts, overseeing payroll, and cash handling, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Fredericksburg, VA, requiring collaboration with multiple teams to support operational and financial success.

Qualifications

• Strong financial acumen, with experience in financial reporting, budget creation, and account reconciliation
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools, with skills in payroll systems and cash management
• Keen attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and stakeholders
• Ability to lead and manage a team, foster collaboration, and meet deadlines
• Experience in the hospitality industry is highly advantageous
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification or equivalent qualification is a plus
