What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter $21.00 position at Hotel Emma?
Primary Responsibilities:
Duties are as follows but not limited to:
- Maintains (paint, wallpaper, plaster, etc.) all public areas and guest rooms on an on-going basis.
- Keep the hotel decor in good condition.
- Clean all work areas after completing job.
- Fill out Daily Work form.
- Have a thorough understanding of Emma’s fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
- Have a thorough understanding of Hotel Emma rules and regulations
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year commercial painting experience required. Vinyl wall covering experience preferred.
- Ability to work in the interior and exterior of the hotel and work with paints, plaster and other painting materials, performing inspections and making painting repairs.
- Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers.
- Candidate must have excellent time management skills, the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail
- Must be able to handle frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Stand or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire shift.
- Frequent bending and/or kneeling required.
- 100% of mobility required in all areas of hotel property and ground.
- Must be able to climb a ladder, work in high places and confined areas.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Attention to detail is important.
