As a Lead Host II it will be your responsibility to provide the guests, either in person or on the phone, with information about the restaurant and hotel information.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Embody the values guiding principles of Hotel Drover
- Ability to manage multiple functions and deliver results in a demanding, fast paced environment
- Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders while acting as an extension of the Hotel Drover brand
- Manage reservation software to drive productivity and guest flow
- Conduct Host trainings and steps of service
- Drive a culture of inclusion and guest experience
- Create floor plans and server sections
- Plot guests’ tables and manage guests’ expectation
- Greet and welcome our guests
- Build relationships with our guests and create a unique, personalized experience
- Provide fair and consistent seating of guests
- Touch tables to ensure guest satisfaction
- Receive and record reservations by phone or in person
- Accurately handle paperwork
- Receive incoming calls
- Check floor and tables for accuracy and cleanliness
- Assist in bussing tables as needed
- Maintain a clean podium
- Stock host/hostess stand
- Refill beverages as business demands
- Provide information to guests as requested
- Perform other restaurant and customer service-related requests to guests.
MUST HAVES:
- Passion for creating amazing experience for our clients and guests
- Fair knowledge of Food and Wine
- Creative thinking and strategic skills
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer related field of work. Host / Hostess experience preferred with Open Table
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
