POSITION SUMMARY
The night auditor position is an overnight position that requires a confident, mature, multitasker with the strong computer skills and minimal accounting responsibilities.
This position offers a warm welcome to our guests arriving during the night. Manages accounting, communication, and consolidation needs for a seamless guest experience that continues throughout the day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Greets guests in a friendly manner.
· During every interaction with a guest, if the guest name is known or can be easily ascertained, you MUST refer to the guest by name.
· Balances and accounts for all daily cash and charge transactions.
· Ensures all charges of the day have been properly posted to the proper guest folio or master account.
· Ensures all daily charges have been balanced and all appropriate reports have been run and all supporting documentation is attached to the appropriate report.
· Ensures that all paperwork initiated by employees who handle cash has been properly completed and balanced.
· Ensure all Food & Beverage and Front Office charges and miscellaneous charges have been balanced.
· Balances credit card vouchers to posted reports and resolves any discrepancies.
· Review and analyze all adjustments made from the business day.
· Review all transactions to determine if accepted accounting procedures were followed in recording transactions.
· Prepares reports for management concerning scope of audit, financial conditions found, and source and application of funds.
· Produces the daily MOD report.
· All other duties as assigned by the DOO.
OTHER:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the hotel from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports.
· Able to prepare financial reports on a moderately complex computer system.
· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Communicates effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with the public and other team members.
· Effectively deals with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern demonstrating empathy with the guest and providing positive and proactive solutions.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Ability to move through a crowded room.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
· Organized and detail oriented.
· The ability to speak additional languages other than English is preferred.
· Meets legal age requirements for the position.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School diploma or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. One year Hospitality and/or Accounting experience is preferred

Pay: $63,000.00 - $64,446.49 per year
