Summary
Historic Hotel Colorado is seeking a friendly, dependable, and guest-focused Part-Time Bellman/Shuttle Driver to join our hospitality team. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression for guests by assisting with luggage, providing transportation services, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting overall front-of-house operations.
The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people, has a positive attitude, maintains professionalism at all times, and takes pride in providing outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests upon arrival and departure with professionalism and hospitality
- Assist guests with luggage handling and escort guests to rooms when needed
- Provide shuttle transportation safely and courteously to and from designated locations
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of shuttle vehicles and bell stand areas
- Provide guests with information regarding hotel amenities, local attractions, restaurants, and directions
- Assist Front Desk and other departments as needed during busy periods
- Respond promptly to guest requests and service calls
- Monitor lobby and entrance areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
- Load and unload guest luggage safely and efficiently
- Follow all hotel safety procedures and driving regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Job Qualifications
- Previous hospitality, customer service, valet, shuttle, or bellman experience preferred but not required, willing to train.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
- Must be insurable under company vehicle insurance policy
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Professional appearance and positive attitude required
- Knowledge of the Glenwood Springs area preferred
- Must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism with guests and staff
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs regularly
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to safely operate hotel shuttle vehicles
- Good vision, hearing, and awareness for safe driving and guest assistance
- Ability to perform repetitive movements throughout shift
