Housekeeping Supervisor

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Job description:

·                    Supervise, instruct, plan, and assign work to building cleaning staff for morning and evening shift.

· Inspect vacated rooms, corridors, linen rooms, stairs, public areas, lobby, lounges, and gym for cleanliness.

·                    Establish schedule and plan daily work assignments

·                    Responsible for the smooth operation of the floor assigned.

·                    Responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors, and linen rooms of the floor.

·                    Supervise room attendants and houseman

·                    Organizes and facilitates the room-making process.

·                    Daily allocation of rooms and deep cleaning tasks to team members

·                    Inspect and approve staff work performance.

· Communicates effectively with staff.

·                    Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance/Engineering Department

·                    Report damages, losses, and supply shortages to the Director of HSK.

·                    Receive any complaints and report to appropriate individuals for necessary action or adjustment.

·                    Participate in periodic heavy cleaning tasks and routine housekeeping duties, as required.

·                    Motivating, training, and retraining of room attendants and housemen

·                    Responsible for addressing complaints of members of staff on situations preventing or inhibiting their utmost performance.

·                    Recognizing areas that need to be cleaned and assigning such areas to specific members of staff.

·                    Monitor staff performance, ensuring the hotel is running well and guests are happy

·                    Ensuring that all members of the housekeeping team, particularly new hires, are aware of the organization’s cleaning procedures.

·                    Keeping housekeeping equipment in good working order and establishing the minimum standards for staff attire.

·                    Oversee safe use of cleaning equipment and supplies.

·                    Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

·                    Report all housekeeping problems to the Director of Housekeeping

·                    Ensure all operational and safety procedures are properly followed

·                    Work with the Director of Housekeeping to forecast accurately as well as project future demand.

·                    Perform other related duties, as assigned.
