Director of Hotel Room Operations

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated Director of Hotel Room Operations to lead and oversee all aspects of guest room management within our dynamic hospitality environment. This pivotal role involves ensuring exceptional guest experiences, optimizing operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of service excellence. As a key leader, you will drive strategic initiatives, supervise front desk and housekeeping teams, and uphold the hotel’s reputation for hospitality and guest satisfaction. Your leadership will inspire teams to deliver outstanding service while managing budgets, revenue, and human resources effectively.

Duties

• Lead and coordinate all hotel room operations, including front desk, housekeeping, night audit, and guest services to ensure seamless daily functioning.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that enhance guest experience, operational efficiency, and staff performance.
• Supervise and motivate supervisory staff and team members across departments to meet service standards and performance goals.
• Oversee revenue management strategies to maximize occupancy rates and profitability through dynamic pricing, forecasting, and inventory control.
• Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and fostering a welcoming environment for diverse clientele.
• Coordinate with human resources on staffing needs, training programs, performance evaluations, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Monitor budget adherence, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations, hotel policies, and industry standards to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.

Skills

• Proven experience in hospitality management with a strong background in hotel operations, including front desk management and guest services.
• Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
• Expertise in revenue management techniques to optimize occupancy and profitability.
• Strong leadership abilities combined with excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of hotel management systems, multi-line phone systems, phone etiquette, and night audit procedures.
• Familiarity with human resources practices including staffing, training, employee relations, and budgeting processes.
• Ability to handle complex situations with professionalism while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
• Hilton properties experience, Graduate and/or Lifestyle properties experience preferred.
• 5 to 10 years' experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area required.
