What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spa Service Technician position at Hot Tubs Inc?
Hot Tubs Inc. is looking for a dependable, motivated, and mechanically inclined Hot Tub Service Technician to join our service team. This is a hands-on position servicing and repairing hot tubs and spas at customers’ homes throughout the area.
This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment while honing your technical skills and delivering exceptional customer service. This position will have jobs in DE, MD, VA, and sometimes WV. It consists of a lot of driving and travel time. Some Saturday work is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hot tubs and spas
- Perform routine hot tub maintenance and service
- Troubleshoot and repair pumps, heaters, control systems, plumbing, jets, valves, and other spa components
- Identify leaks and determine the appropriate repair
- Replace and install spa parts and equipment
- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Drain, clean, and refill spas as needed
- Maintain accurate service notes and document repairs
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding service needs and repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and work area
- Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer recommendations
- Work independently while managing a daily service schedule
Experience
- Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working with tools and equipment
- Ability to diagnose problems and determine appropriate solutions
- Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems preferred
- Previous experience with hot tubs, spas, pools, plumbing, electrical, appliances, or other mechanical equipment is a plus
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and parts as required
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
Full-time, Monday–Friday, Occasional Saturdays
Typical service hours are during the daytime, with occasional schedule adjustments based on customer needs and seasonal workload.
