What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sample Coordinator position at Hot Topic Inc.?

We’re looking for an organized and collaborative sample coordinator to lead the sample process for the Hot Topic brand, you’ll be hands on with pop culture merch, ensuring we are meeting licensor contract agreements and marketing key calendar dates.
This role operates on a hybrid schedule and will require to work from our HQ located in the City of Industry, CA four days a week.
Pay range is $20.50/hr- $21.25/hr.
Please note the pay range for this position starts as listed in the job posting, but other factors such as an individual’s education, location, meeting the minimum job requirements for the role, training and experience, will determine the final salary for potential new hires.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Coordinate with marketing team to identify key calendar due dates for photo shoot samples
- Create and maintain tracking system for visibility on all sample requests
- Oversee all samples with cross functional teams, oversee reporting and archiving
- Help with coordinating samples for all catalogs and mailers
- Leads communication for all samples between teams; photo, copy, buyers, and marketing
- Responsible for physical sample coordination for landing / homepage /email page assets
- Provide daily quality assurance check on all site pages and assist with update verifications
- Identify opportunities to innovate the business
- Perform other job duties as needed
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent job experience
- Exceptional communication skills, initiative and follow up skills
- 1 years of proven success in e-commerce merchandising and/or product
- Experience with all MS Office applications; strong Excel Skills a plus!
- Understanding and familiarity with key web trends, usability concepts and best practices.
- Familiarity with content management and tools, website analytics and reporting.
- Outstanding analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team and willingness to take on responsibilities outside primary job description when necessary.
- Ability to adapt in a fast pace environment.
