We are seeking a talented and experienced Italian Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, from menu creation to staff management, ensuring that our culinary offerings meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Duties
- Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current food trends while catering to customer preferences.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance and adherence to food safety standards.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, maintaining stock levels, and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency in taste and appearance.
- Oversee kitchen operations during service hours, coordinating with front-of-house staff for seamless service.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and foster teamwork within the kitchen.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment.
- Strong culinary skills with expertise in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Experience in restaurant management, including staff supervision and training.
- Ability to manage inventory effectively and control costs without compromising quality.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- A creative mindset with a passion for developing new dishes and enhancing existing recipes.
- Bartending experience is a plus but not required.
