The Group Exercise Instructor (Non-Certified) plays a vital role in leading engaging and effective group fitness classes that promote health, wellness, and community among participants. The instructor will foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participants to achieve their personal fitness goals while enjoying the social aspects of group exercise. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience leading group exercise classes or similar fitness instruction.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse groups.
- Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly and maintain participant safety.
- Basic knowledge of exercise techniques and fitness principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in group fitness instruction from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, AFAA, NASM).
- CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Experience working with a variety of age groups and fitness levels.
- Knowledge of music selection and choreography to enhance class experience.
- Background in specialized fitness areas such as yoga, Pilates, or strength training.
Responsibilities:
- Lead group exercise classes with enthusiasm, ensuring clear instruction and demonstration of exercises.
