Job Summary
We are a specialty cardiology and vascular practice seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to perform ultrasound examinations for our patients. In this role you will prepare patients for scans, operate ultrasound equipment, and work closely with our physicians to review vascular images. The ideal candidate demonstrates acute attention to detail, provides an excellent level of patient care, and can explain technical findings in terms patients can easily understand.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and update patients' medical records
- Ensure examination rooms and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment
- Perform sonographic examinations to develop vascular images
- Generate analytical reports and documentation from vascular results
- Assist physicians with reviewing and interpreting ultrasound images
- Communicate and explain examinations and results to patients
- Perform administrative tasks such as managing patient schedules and filing diagnostic reports
- Stay current with the latest advancements in vascular sonography techniques and technology
Qualifications
- Registry eligible or registered vascular sonographer (RVS) preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in a vascular, ultrasound, or healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with EHR systems; experience with athenaOne a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and composure
- Acute attention to detail and accuracy
