Barista

We are looking for a friendly, customer-focused Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including a variety of coffees, teas, and specialty drinks. A successful candidate will have a passion for customer service, an eye for detail, and the ability to create an excellent experience for every guest.

Compensation: Hourly wage tips

Location is fast paced & tips are great

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly as they arrive
• Provide menus and answer questions about ingredients or menu items
• Take orders accurately, paying attention to preferences (e.g., coffee blend, dairy, sugar ratios)
• Prepare and serve beverages and light food items (cookies, pastries, muffins, burritos, & breakfast sandwiches) according to recipes
• Handle payments (cash and credit card)
• Maintain a clean and organized bar/work area
• Restock supplies such as cups, straws, sleeves and drink ingredients
• Monitor brewing equipment and report any maintenance needs
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Share customer feedback with management and suggest new menu items when appropriate

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista or Server preferred. Willing to train the right person from scratch, this person would need to be motivated to learn.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment a plus
• Knowledge of sanitation and food safety regulations
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Basic math skills for handling payments
• Ability to anticipate and respond to customer preference

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
