Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Metal Fabricator/Welder(Alumminum, Cast, Stainlesssteel) to join our dynamic fabrication team. We are a small HOT ROD CLASSIC CAR RESTORATION SHOP. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing metal bending and shaping and maintaining metal structures and components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in various welding techniques and fabrication processes will be essential to delivering high-quality work. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills to create durable, reliable metal solutions.
Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and welding tasks.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and
welding techniques to join or repair metal components accurately. - Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape, cut, and assemble sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural elements.
- Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
- Follow strict standards for welding quality, safety
- Maintain a clean workspace by organizing tools and materials while ensuring compliance with safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven construction site experience with a solid understanding of safety practices in industrial environments.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques; experience with
welding is a plus. - Ability to read blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, and schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to fabrication dimensions, and project estimations.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, soldering, machining processes installation,
- Certifications in welding (such as AWS or ASME standards) are highly desirable; prior experience working within manufacturing or construction environments is preferred. Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
