About the Role
We are hiring a Full-Time Experienced Dog Bather to join our grooming team. This is a hands-on role for someone who already knows the work — you'll be bathing, drying, brushing, deshedding, and finishing dogs of every size and coat type, communicating with pet parents at drop-off and pick-up, and keeping the bathing department clean and well-stocked.
This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have at least one (1) year of paid experience as a Dog Bather or Stylist in a professional dog grooming facility (salon, mobile grooming unit, or boarding/daycare resort with grooming services). Experience bathing personal pets at home does not qualify.
What You'll Do
Receive and return dogs to their owners using Hot Diggity Dog Resort-supplied slip leashes and safe, low-stress handling
Bathe, dry, brush, and de-shed dogs of all sizes, breeds, and coat types
Perform nail trims, ear cleaning, and tooth brushing as specified on the grooming card
Identify and communicate conditions you observe during bathing — rashes, dirty ears, full anal glands, coat issues — to the owner and the Bathing Supervisor
Keep bathing stations stocked with ear cleaner, drying sprays, Kwik Stop, and other supplies
Maintain a safe, clean work area throughout the shift — wipe up water, vacuum hair, clean pet accidents as they happen
End-of-shift cleanup: vacuum and mop floors, clean and sanitize tubs and grooming tables, launder towels and soiled bedding, inspect and clean crates, clean and dry all grooming tools
Work under the supervision of the Bathing Supervisor
What We're Looking For
1 year of paid experience as a Dog Bather or Stylist in a professional grooming facility (required)
Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments using humane, low-stress techniques
Familiar with high-velocity dryers, slip leashes, grooming tables, and standard bathing tools
Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and station setup
Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a full-time schedule, including weekends
Friendly, professional demeanor with pet parents at drop-off and pick-up
Physically able to lift dogs up to ~50 lbs (with assistance for larger dogs) and stand for extended shifts
Authorized to work in the United States
