Who are we?
Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery is a dessert restaurant and brand. We have three locations in Seattle, as well as a line of retail desserts and confections sold nationwide.
What we're looking for:
We are hiring for part-time Front of House positions at our Capitol Hill location. Our Front of House staff cross-trains to learn all aspects of service - from register to barista to line cook. You will work as part of the team to serve delicious, house made desserts for our guests. We're looking for someone who loves hospitality as much as we do to join our positive, fun, and hard working, diverse team. Job availability:
3-4 days/week
Nights & weekends are a must
Part Time 15-25 hours/week
Job details:
Will begin with learning to garnish our desserts and running the desserts to tables to get a feel for the menu.
Then you will learn the POS and solidify menu knowledge along with allergy modifications and dietary restrictions.
You will learn our barista station and line station until you are proficient running them solo.
Cleaning and closing FOH stations at the end of the night.
You will learn our quality standards and live by them - plating desserts quickly and beautifully, and knowing what cannot go out to our guests.
You will learn how to bake off cookies & biscuits so that you can bake more throughout your shift.
You will be responsible for keeping our restaurant clean and tidy at all times.
You will be expected to be an open minded, kind, compassionate co-worker and host to our guests, making sure that everyone always feels welcome and taken care of.
Requirements:
21 and over to be eligible for Class-12 Permit
Valid Food Handlers Permit
2 years experience in a restaurant
Barista experience preferred
Clean, organized, hard working, with attention to detail
A team player
Able to stay cool, calm, and collected in a fast-paced environment
