Overview:
Hosted America is seeking a skilled Fiber Installation and Service Technician Level I to join our dynamic team. This hands-on role involves installing and supporting Hosted America’s fiber, video, internet, and Wi-Fi systems—both onsite at customer locations and remotely via our monitoring and management tools. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a drive to deliver high-quality service experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installations of Hosted America products following company guidelines and industry standards
- Conduct pre-installation assessments to plan and execute efficient setups
- Utilize tools and equipment effectively including diagnostic instruments
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues onsite and remotely
- Maintain organized workspaces and adhere to safety protocols during installations
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding installation procedures and timelines
- Document service calls and report challenges or deviations as needed
- Collaborate with internal support teams to deliver seamless service
Qualifications:
- Previous installation experience or related technical background preferred
- Familiarity with fiber optics, video systems, internet, and Wi-Fi technologies
- Comfortable using field tools for testing and diagnostics
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Capable of physical tasks including lifting and maneuvering equipment
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites
