Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor

A hotel housekeeping supervisor is responsible for keeping rooms and public spaces clean and sanitary for guests while ensuring the housekeeping team is running efficiently.  A housekeeping supervisor ensures that guests have a clean home away from home experience while at the hotel. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Performs cleaning duties in all guest areas and back of house as well as supervising housekeeping staff activity. Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service. Ensures housekeeping departmental standards are followed at all times, providing coaching as needed. Responds timely to guests’ special requests for miscellaneous items like cribs/pack and play, cots, extra towels, etc. Secure and document lost and found items Maintains inventory of necessary supplies, placing orders as needed. Reports necessary maintenance items. Follows departmental policies and procedures. Follows all safety and sanitation policies. Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests. Performs additional duties as needed. Competencies Excellent communication and organizational skills. Work environment Must wear proper uniform attire.  You will occasionally interact with the public throughout the day.  Usually, you will work indoors when cleaning.  In some cases, you may be outdoors when cleaning the balconies or other outdoor spaces. Will be exposed to contaminants, cleaning products, diseases, or infections. Hotels operate 24/7 therefore schedules may at times fluctuate based on the needs of the business. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, twist, or lifting as much as 25lbs. throughout your scheduled shift. Required education and experience High School diploma, GED, or equivalent Previous housekeeping experience of at least 2 years Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment preferred.
