Overview
A freestanding ER in Tyler, TX is seeking a Hospitality Runner/Barista to join their team. The Hospitality Runner/Barista will strive to provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patient’s sense of comfort and dignity.
Responsibilities for the Hospitality Runner/Barista
- Offering the coffee menu to all Lobby patients and during down time to the hall patients.
- Sending inventory of the coffee cart to the Hospitality Supervisor at the end of each shift
- Documenting purchases and time spent running errands accurately to immediate supervisor
- Ordering supplies as directed
- Engaging with all patients, visitors and staff and providing a warm welcome; prepare and deliver refreshments
- Prioritizing patient needs throughout the duration of their stay to include but not limited to answering questions and concerns; resolving any issues that may arise; running errands and providing meals
- Cleaning and organizing Hospitality Department stockrooms and storage areas
- Returning all resources to proper place and taking care of all resources
Requirements and Qualifications for the Hospitality Runner/Barista
- Customer service experience: demonstrated ability in customer service practice related to direct patient care in a high volume, high stress environment
- Critical thinking skills: ability to work autonomously and make efficient use of time and resources
- Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians
- Flexibility to meet scheduling demands of department
- High School Graduate/Equivalent
- Barista Experience (not required, but it is a plus) Training is provided
