Hospitality, Furnishings & Design, Inc. (HFD) specializes in providing quality interior design services, project management and FF&E procurement to the hotel and hospitality industry. We wish to add to our professional team a Full-time Procurement Specialist. This is a work from home position.

Core Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)
- Create FF&E quotes, change orders and specifications: Work with the Interior Designer and
Project Managers to develop our customer quotes. Analyze detailed floor plans, design schemes, and property improvement plans to ensure that the full scope of projects is included in estimates and quotations.
- Specification verifications: Review hotel brand documentation and work with the hotel brands and vendors to ensure that HFD’s quotes have the accurate specifications to place orders. This may require modifying specifications to meet the project’s needs.
- Perform takeoffs: Determine all furniture and finish (primarily flooring and wall covering) quantities necessary to provide proper materials for the client’s project. Following established procedures for performing takeoffs steps and accurately documenting this information is critical to the success of the project.
- Collaborate as needed: Work with multiple internal departments on material costs, overage requirements, installation methods and general construction requirements that will provide competitive advantage on quotes to the client.
- Request and gather pricing information from Suppliers: Contacting suppliers for pricing for predetermined items as specified by either the hotel brands, 3rd party Interior Designers, or HFD staff Interior Designers.
- Enter pricing data: Add pricing data received from suppliers into HFD’s proprietary software program. Identify any discrepancies and work with the suppliers and Interior Designers to finalize accurate pricing information. As needed, resolve all pricing discrepancies after orders are placed to ensure that the price is accurate.
- Specification data accuracy and supplier relationship management: Resolve specification discrepancies to ensure the proper product arrives at the client property.
- Purchase order processing: Work with the suppliers to confirm receipt of orders and resolve all pending discrepancies so that the orders may be scheduled for production.
- Communication: Ensure clear communication between both internal and external project stakeholders is well maintained to resolve questions or concerns in a timely manner.
- Mitigate issues: Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
- System management: Keep all process systems updated accurately, daily.

Additional information
- Work hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 1-hour break for lunch.
- Work beyond normal business hours may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects or operational support that may be required outside of normal business hours or on weekends.
- The position requires being seated at a computer, in a quiet and distraction-free working space, for the majority of the day.
