Hotel Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. Compensation: $20.00 to $25.00 DOE

Job Required Skills:

· Technical Knowledge: Proficient in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

· Problem Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.

· Attention to Detail: Ability to identify potential maintenance issues and fix them before they become problems.

· Time Management: Skilled in prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills for reporting maintenance needs and interacting with guests and staff.

· Manual Dexterity: Comfortable with using various tools and machinery for repairs and maintenance.

· Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with other departments, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

· Customer Service: Friendly, professional demeanor when interacting with guests and handling maintenance requests.

· Physical Stamina: Able to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects 50lbs and working in varied positions.

· Adaptability: Willingness to take on different types of tasks and adjust to changing work conditions.

Responsibilities:

· Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other hotel amenities.

· Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues efficiently.

· Conduct inspections of all guest rooms, public spaces, and facilities to identify and resolve any maintenance concerns.

· Ensure the safe and effective operation of all building systems, including lighting, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and electrical.

· Assist with room set-ups, furniture repairs, and general upkeep of the property.

· Maintain and update maintenance logs, documenting completed tasks and any ongoing issues.

· Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized maintenance services, as needed.

· Ensure compliance with hotel safety protocols, building codes, and regulations.

· Participate in emergency preparedness and respond to any urgent maintenance needs during after-hours, as required.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.

· Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance techniques.

· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.

· Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Basic computer skills to log tasks and complete maintenance requests.

· Certification or relevant training in facility maintenance is a plus.
