The DENTAL ASSISTANT performs chair side assisting with dental procedures and patient management. Maintains clinic cleanliness, opens and locks up clinic, delivers and retrieves instruments to and from sterilization, and sets up operatories. Performs other duties as needed.
Minimum one year of dental assisting experience is preferred, but we are willing to train candidates who show strong potential and a willingness to learn.
The ideal candidate should possess hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and manual skills. Basic assisting skills with strong hand dexterity in fingers and forearm are required. Must be able to read, write legibly, and speak in English with professional quality, communicate positively and effectively with others, and be assertive in following policies. Must be able to work calmly and respond courteously under pressure, think critically, work independently, perform basic math functions, manage multiple assignments, problem solve, organize and prioritize workload, pay close attention to detail, and recall information accurately.
