Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems processing sales transactions efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met for all dishes including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Upsell menu items like premium wines or specialty cocktails to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while processing payments via POS systems; manage cash handling responsibilities responsibly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and providing exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
- Follow all sanitation regulations related to food handling, serving, and overall restaurant hygiene practices.
Experience
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage time effectively in busy settings while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately; ability to upsell menu items confidently.
- Experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential.
