About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN – Circulator) to join our growing healthcare team in Chicago, IL. This position plays a key role in providing high-quality intraoperative care, ensuring patient safety, and supporting surgeons and surgical teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
As a Circulating Nurse, you’ll work closely with physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians to coordinate and deliver top-notch perioperative care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment for surgery.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and responses during procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation of all surgical activities and supplies used.
- Follow hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols.
- Assist in equipment setup, inventory control, and maintenance.
- Demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and teamwork throughout patient care.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – State of Illinois (Required)
- BLS and ACLS Certifications (Required)
- Minimum 4 years of OR experience as a Circulator (Required)
- Experience in spine, orthopedic, or robotic surgeries (Preferred)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree)
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-specialty environment
Schedule & Shift:
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Occasional flexibility for surgical schedules
