JOB SUMMARY
This position is for a Director of Nursing whose responsibility is to plan organize and direct the daily activities of the Long Term Care Department. Ensures compliance with accreditation standards, federal, state and local regulations, organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Implements activities that ensure the safe and efficient provision of medical surgical services to adolescents, adults and geriatric patient populations. Responsible for the supervision of professional or skilled personnel. The position reports to the Chief Long Term Care Officer.
Qualifications:JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of a Registered Nurse Program or Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred.
- Formal Training: Clinical competence in nursing required.
- Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Georgia; BLS certification required.
- Work Experience: Advanced technical nursing skills. Intermediate knowledge of the nursing process. Basic computer skills. Long-term care management experience preferred.
