JOB SUMMARY
This position is for a House Supervisor whose responsibility is to plan organize and direct the daily activities and function in an administrative capacity during assigned shifts in accordance with accreditation standards, federal, state and local regulations, organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Implements activities that ensure the safe and efficient provision of care to neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations. Responsible for the supervision of professional and skilled personnel. The position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of a Registered Nurse Program required. BSN preferred.
Formal Training: Clinical competence in nursing required.
Licensure, Certifications & Registration: current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Georgia; BLS certification required; ACLS certification required. PALS certification required within 90 days.
Work Experience: Advanced management skills in planning, organizing, implementing, facilitating, interviewing, counseling, and verbal and written communications. Intermediate computer skills with word processing and spreadsheet capabilities. Three (3) to five (5) years clinical experience in a variety of nursing areas, ER or ICU preferred.
