JOB SUMMARY
This position is for an advanced nurse practitioner, whose responsibility is to provide a full scope of services which fall under his/her specialty including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care and health maintenance to patients/residents. This position reports to the Director of Medical Practices.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Meets the credentialing requirements for Active Staff Membership
- A current license in the State of Georgia, including authorization for advanced nursing practices by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
- Credentialed by the Medical Staff for Liberty Regional Hospital Authority.
- Current APRN agreement on file with the Georgia Composite Medical Board.
- Current DEA.
- Successful completion of the National Certifying Examination authorization by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of one year of related clinical nursing experience.
- Professional knowledge of scope of practice.
- Must be able to write English language in a legible and understandable manner.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to handle tactfully with personnel, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as law, regulations and guidelines that pertain to acute care.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
- Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for providing quality of care.
- Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
- OB/GYN patient care experience in an Ambulatory setting preferred.
