Position Summary:
Bill and collect commercial insurance claims including co-insurance and deductible. Record all gifts and pledges daily. Create and maintain accurate records for all fund-raising documents. Make agency travel arrangements. Perform monthly reconciliation of all cash receipts and commercial insurance. Work with other departments including Development and Fundraising. Performs other related duties as required.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Prefer some advanced training in either the accounting field or relevant experience.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and people skills.
- Ability to interact professionally and courteously with patients, visitors, employees, and the public.
- Contingent upon successful completion of drug screen, background check, and other screenings as applicable.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods (6–8 hours per day).
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and operating office equipment.
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to lift and carry files or office supplies up to 20 pounds.
- Visual acuity for reading documents and computer screens.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
Work Environment:
- Primarily indoor office setting.
- Prolonged computer and telephone use.
- Moderate noise level typical of an office environment.
- Frequent interaction with staff, patients, families, and vendors.
- Climate-controlled environment.
Salary : $38,841 - $52,347
