SUMMARY

The Director of Provider Services & Innovative Services is responsible for leading the end-to-end operational performance of a multi-department practice and outpatient clinic — including administration, finance, compliance, staffing, provider relations, technology, and patient experience for Provider Management, The Steward Center for Palliative Care and the Edel Caregiver Institute. This position plays a critical role in advancing Hospice Savannah's mission of providing compassionate, comprehensive care to individuals and families living with serious illnesses. In partnership with organizational leadership, the Director ensures that providers are well-supported, clinically engaged, and aligned with strategic goals — while continuously seeking innovative service models that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. This role also assists in overseeing the Steward Center for Palliative Care Board and supporting Hospice Savannah's nationally recognized, evidence-based model of palliative care.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Healthcare Administration, Business, or related); master’s preferred.
  • 3–7 years of experience managing medical or multi-provider practices.
  • Experience in provider relations, productivity tracking, and clinical operations.
  • Proficient with general billing, coding, EMR systems, and insurance processes.
  • Valid driver's license, automobile Insurance and reliable transportation required.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Skilled in provider recruitment, engagement, and management.
  • Familiar with practice management systems and regulatory compliance.
  • Results-driven with a focus on both operational efficiency and quality patient care.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position is primarily performed in an office and healthcare administrative environment, with regular interaction across clinical, operational, and community-based settings. The role requires extended periods of sitting and standing, frequent use of computers and other standard office equipment, and ongoing visual and mental concentration for review of reports, financial data, schedules, and electronic health records. Occasional walking throughout clinical or office facilities may be required. The role may involve light physical activity, such as lifting or moving office materials or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis. Travel between organizational locations and within the community is required as needed, using personal transportation

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. The role is expected to work Monday through Friday during standard business hours; however, hours may vary based on operational needs, patient care demands, leadership meetings, and organizational priorities. Travel Requires the ability to travel between organizational locations, with a primary assignment at Demere center, Eisenhower, or any facility within the organization’s 5-county area, as well as the community.
